Validated Under High-G
Extensive centrifuge, thermal, immersion, and integration testing confirm measurable improvements over legacy systems.
CENTRIFUGE TESTING
Extensive High-G Validation
Validated through repeated centrifuge testing across a range of profiles, the system has been pushed in conditions that reflect real flight demands. The result is performance data you can rely on.
150+ Centrifuge Runs
A large test dataset across multiple profiles supported repeatable evaluation of physiological response and suit performance.
16+ Test Subjects
Experienced male and female participants validated suit performance across a wide range of flight domains under controlled testing conditions.
Up to 9 G
Suit performance was evaluated from 1 to 9 G across several profiles using objective test methods that included perimetry.
With and Without Pressure Breathing
Suit performance was evaluated both independently and with legacy pressure breathing systems.
With and Without Chest Counterpressure
Suit performance was evaluated both independently and with legacy chest counter pressure systems.
High Onset Rates (6 g/s)
Rapid onset profiles replicated aggressive maneuver conditions where G tolerance is most challenged.
G-FORCE PERFORMANCE
~10% Greater G Tolerance
Designed to support the body more effectively under G, the system helps maintain aircrew performance and prevent G-LOC during critical phases of flight. It gives aircrew more margin when it matters most.
Reduced AGSM Requirement
Lower physical straining effort was required to maintain peripheral vision and avoid G-LOC under g load.
- Lower fatigue
- Reduced extertion
- Greater g-protection margin
Works Within Existing Air Supply Limits
Air volume characteristics remain consistent with existing systems.
- System compatibility
- No volume increase
- Standard integration
Equal or Faster Inflation Rates
Matches or exceeds current system response, ensuring timely protection under high onset gs.
- Rapid pressurization
- High onset readiness
Thermal Performance
~20% Reduction in Thermal Burden
By reducing trapped heat and improving airflow, the suit lowers overall thermal burden. Aircrew stay more comfortable, which directly supports endurance and focus over the entire mission.
Copper Manikin Testing
Standardized manikin methods were used to quantify
thermal performance across suit configurations.
Controlled Dry & Evaporative Conditions
Testing examined both heat resistance and moisture transfer characteristics.
Lower Heat Resistance
The system allows more efficient heat transfer away from the body.
Lower Vapor Resistance
Improved vapor transport helps reduce moisture buildup inside the suit.
Passive Testing Baseline
Results reflect passive performance without active cooling.
Active Cooling Potential
Integrated airflow channels are expected to further reduce thermal burden during operational use.
Compatibility TESTING
Additional Tests
The ATHERIS ensemble was evaluated through additional testing to assure operational readiness.
Two Ejection Tests Conducted
Mannequin testing evaluated suit behavior during high-speed ejection.
450 Knot Test Profile (Case 6 Mannequin)
Testing replicated demanding real-world ejection conditions.
No Envelope Issues Observed
Suit ensemble did not interfere with seat operation or ejection from the cockpit at high speed.
Cockpit Mockup Evaluation
Fit and compatibility were evaluated within F-16, F-35, Hawk, and Typhoon cockpit mockups.

Questions & Clarifications
Technical questions, design considerations, and practical details about the ATHERIS system.
For anything else, feel free to contact our team.
Is ATHERIS compatible with existing aircraft systems?
Yes. All critical fit and functions have been evaluated and in specific cases tested within legacy aircraft ejection platforms.
Is ATHERIS compatible with existing UCD systems?
Yes, ATHERIS has been evaluated with current UCD products and systems including Skydrate. The Skydrate passthrough has been successfully integrated with Atheris IPG inner suit.
Is the ATHERIS Ensemble Berry Amendment compliant?
Yes.
Can the Baseline Suit be used with any qualified Flight Jacket?
Yes. And the Integrated Suit can be fitted to any qualified LPU.
Does David Clark have experience with anti-G suits?
Absolutely. Our legacy in high-performance protection began in the early 1940s when we developed the first commercially successful anti-G suits used by Allied pilots during WWII. Since then, we have consistently refined our designs to meet the evolving demands of aerospace flight. Our extensive experience includes:
- Advanced G-Protection: Most recently, we designed the critical bladder portion for the Advanced Technology Anti-G Suit (ATAGS).
- High-Altitude Mastery: We engineered and manufactured the specialized full-pressure suits for iconic programs like the U-2 and SR-71 Blackbird.
- Space Exploration: We are currently providing the Orion Crew Survival System (OCSS) suits for NASA’s historic Artemis program.
With ATHERIS we have leveraged this decades-long expertise in life-support and high-altitude protection to deliver an industry-leading anti-G ensemble.
